Here and now: May 7, 2015
Here it is, here and now. My life...
On my mind...
Less than usual, thankfully. Either life's edges smoothed out a bit for me the past few days, or I've simply become oblivious. (Safe to say the latter is more likely.)
Reading...
The same book as last week: Shadows Over Paradise by Isabel Woolf. (Having been knocking out my pile of magazines big time, though, hence the turtle pace on the book.)
Watched...
The final episode of Season Two of Rectify, a SundanceTV original series we watch on Netflix. Jim and I are hooked on the intriguing story of a man who was imprisoned for murder as a teen (most probably unjustly) then released on appeal as a nearly 40-year-old man.
It's a subtle, suspenseful, often sad, suck-you-in (and superb!) sort of series. I can't wait for Season 3.
Working on...
Started futzing around in the yard last weekend doing some raking, weeding, and so forth. Hoped to do more this coming weekend but it's been raining all week and scheduled to continue doing so through Sunday—which is very not normal for Colorado.
Listening to...
Jets flying overhead again and again, making so much noise it can be hard to hear telephone conversations and television shows. Not sure what's up, but living near Peterson AFB, NORAD, Fort Carson, and the U.S. Air Force Academy and can be a loud and disconcerting affair at times.
Looking forward to...
Mother's Day! Time with (most of) my family! Hooray!
The last photo I took...
(on my phone) My signature, to make a new signature image for signing electronic contracts and documents. I needed to sign something yesterday and my old image was darker than I like, so I snapped this—minus the blatant watermark—then brightened and resized.
Cheers to signing off 'til Saturday!
Today's question:
What's going on for you, here and now?
