Here & Now: March 5, 2015
This. Today. Here and now.
On my mind...
Did I make the right career choice to not pursue a full-time job a few years ago?
Reading...
I just finished "Nightbird" by Alice Hoffman, a magical story for grades 5 and up. A cursed family, a winged brother, a monster in the woods, friendships, families, first loves and old loves. Sorta spooky—but not scary—stuff in Alice Hoffman's first novel for kids. I thoroughly enjoyed it. (I received an advance copy for review; it publishes March 10.)

This video... again!
It's fairly old (2013), but I only recently saw it. It makes me chuckle each and every time I watch—which is far too many times in the past week.
Working on...
Figuring out which book to read next. Suggestions?
Listening to...
Silence. Except for the tick-tock-tick-tock of Jim's antique clock hanging in the stairway. (And Isabel crunching her cat food in the kitchen.)
Looking forward to...
A slumber party Saturday night. A handful of old girlfriends in jammies + one shared room at a lodge = catching up on what's gone on in our lives over the past decade or two since we last saw one another. Have no doubt: Wine will be involved.
The last photo I took (on my phone)...
I went out to get the mail late Tuesday afternoon and saw this—and wondered how gravity got so confused.
Today's question:
What does your here and now look like?
