Denver Broncos fans... still

Though it's been more than a week since the heartbreak of the Super Bowl, I finally got to see my grandsons in their Denver Broncos wear I had sent them for the game.

They assured me they did wear the shirts during the Super Bowl. Bubby said he even crossed all his fingers, toes and legs in hopes things would go our way. Alas, if only their efforts had saved the game.

We're all crossing our fingers things will go better next time.

And there will be a next time.

Saturday movie review: The Guilt Trip

I've been a fan of Barbra Streisand since I was about 10 years old. Though my ardency for her has waned in recent decades, I still appreciate and enjoy Streisand's singing and, to some degree, her acting. So when THE GUILT TRIP starring Barbra Streisand and Seth Rogen as mother and son was released, I didn't rush to the theater to see it, but I did add it to my DVD queue.

Sirens, earworms and closer to fine

I write quite often here about movies and about books. I realized this week that I very rarely write about music anymore, especially after changing the focus of my Saturday posts from "The Saturday Post" to "The Saturday Movie Review."
