Saturday movie review: The Cobbler

A mish-mash of themes, unexpected elements, and a surprisingly diverse cast are cobbled together to create an entertaining and engaging fable of sorts called THE COBBLER, released in March of this year.

Saturday movie review: Life's A Breeze

LIFE'S A BREEZE is a cautionary tale from Lance Daly, director of THE COMMITMENTS (a favorite of mine). What might viewers be cautioned against? Throwing out your elderly mother's household goods without checking with her first.

Saturday movie review: St. Vincent

I have to be honest: I avoided seeing the comedy ST. VINCENT in the theater and refrained from adding it to my Netflix queue because it stars Melissa McCarthy. Saturday movie review: 'The Grand Seduction'

The title makes you wonder, doesn't it? Well, have no fear: I'm not delving into racy and raunchy films for review, I promise. Nope. In fact, THE GRAND SEDUCTION is likely one of the least racy films you'll ever see — and likely one of the most fun, too.
