The Saturday Post: Egg inspiration edition

Tonight Jim, Brianna, Andrea and I will color our Easter eggs. I thought I was being fairly creative by breaking with tradition and buying all we need to try decorating our eggs using Kool Aid. Well, let's just say our colorful eggs to come ain't got nothing on these interesting creations, some of which I plan to try out next year.

Today's question:

What is your most tried and true egg-decorating technique?

The Saturday Post: Rise of the Guardians edition

Spring may have just sprung, but it's never too early for a movie lover to start making her list of must-see films for the holiday season.

The following trailer hit the Internet just this week, and it's a movie I definitely want to take Bubby to see when it comes out around Thanksgiving. (That is, I must add, as long as the yet-to-be-rated movie ends up PG or tamer; I've mentioned before my cringe-worthy experience with Bubby and a PG-13 movie.)

Movie talk aside, spring has indeed sprung. Cheers to getting outside and enjoying it!

Happy Saturday!

The Saturday Post: Into The Mystic edition

I'm proud to say that I am indeed Irish and not just on St. Patrick's Day. In honor of the holiday, here's my favorite Irish musician, Van Morrison, singing one of my all-time favorite songs of his.

May the luck o' the Irish be with us all!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

The Saturday Post: Tap Pups wannabe edition

In my next life, I want to be a tap dancer.

Actually, forget the next life—I want to learn to tap dance in the second half of this life! And I want to be part of something just like this in order to do that:

Not gonna happen though, as Tap Pups classes take place in a land far, far away. Meaning, Pennsylvania. But, that high-energy, toe-tapping woman does sell videos. So I'm seriously considering buying one...and maybe the portable tap floor, too. (Or I may just ask for both—and tap shoes!—for my next birthday. Take note, Jim...daughters...grandsons.)

Today's question:

Do you tap dance? And whether you do or not, what kind of dancing do you enjoy most?

The Saturday Post: Grandma-roots-for-Adele edition

The Grammy Awards are tomorrow. Though I don't typically watch them, I just might this time. Because of Adele. I want to see her first major performance since having surgery on her vocal chords in November, and I want to see her win. The breathtakingly talented and beautiful 23-year-old (23!) is nominated for six Grammys.

Adele garnered three nominations—Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Short Form Music Video—for this song and video:

And she's nominated for Best Pop Solo Performance for this song:

Rounding out the six are Adele's nominations for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for 21.

I hope she makes a sweep of it, walking away with the Grammy in every category she's been nominated.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll be watching—and definitely rooting for awesome Adele.

Today's question:

Who and what are some of your current favorite artists and songs?

The Saturday Post: Project Yosemite edition

I would love to be a world traveler. Thing is, I've not even seen much of the United States. So before I set sail across seas near and far, I need to spend some time in my own back yard, my own country.

With that in mind, one of the destinations at the top of my National-Parks-I-must-see list is this, Yosemite National Park. The following beautiful time-lapse video does much to tide me over until I can get there:

Today's question:

Which National Parks are your favorite? Which do you hope to eventually see?
