Chunky, crunchy, creamy

It’s been a looooong time since I added a new recipe to my Recipe Box. Today I’ve remedied that a smidgen by adding three new recipes: something chunky, something crunchy, and something creamy. (Good thing that’s not all one recipe because I’m not finding the thought of all three textures together very appetizing.)

Separately, though, they are quite appetizing, and I’m glad I’ve finally gotten around to adding them to my collection.

The chunky recipe is indeed a new recipe to Grandma’s Briefs, my Fast and Chunky Black Bean Soup. So yummy, so easy to make.

The other two recipes I added are not technically new as they’ve been featured in blog posts in the past, but I never posted them as a recipe.

The “crunchy” recipe is Bird’s Nest Cookies, which many of you may recall seeing as an activity I did with Brayden and Camden when my first two grandsons were itsy bitsy. (Please allow me a moment; grabbing that link brought pings to my heart as those two precious little ones in the post are now 13 and 10. Gah!)

The “creamy” recipe is Snow Cream. I recently made this with my last two grandsons, Benjamin and Robert, and shared their sugary, slurpy sampling of the stuff here. Desert dwelling Brayden and Camden have never had the privilege of tasting Gramma’s snow cream, but their baby brother Declan visited once (or twice) without his brothers, only Mom, and he did get to taste the chilly treat. Perhaps one day the big boys will make it to Gramma’s house during a snowy spell.

So there you have it, three new(ish) recipes. When you try one out, I’d love for you to let me know what you and yours thought in the comments.

Enjoy!
